In our previous home, there was a convenient little shelf to place our toothbrushes when not being used. They were safe from dirty hands groping for the faucet handle in the dark of night and soapy splashes and made wiping up the sink area easier.
Every day, when I proceeded to get myself together in the morning, I would place my husband's toothbrush, left balanced on the edge of the sink, on this shelf. And wonder at his inability to move it up and to the left one foot.
My frustration boiled over and I vented to God. Instead of validating my complaint, he reminded me that if my husband were gone, moving that toothbrush would be one of the things that I would miss. It stayed there on the edge of the sink until we moved to a new place where the shelf was only 6 inches from the sink. Ya know, I miss that toothbrush balanced on the edge of the sink!
The cutting board! My husband removes it from its 'place' behind the kitchen faucet...to cut up an apple, an orange, any number of things throughout the day. But he doesn't put it back!!! Ever!
I am trying my best to lead by example; it doesn't work with him. I'm all for finding solutions that work for us both, without me using my 'words' to remind him. Suggestions?
Yes, this is me. I never put away the cutting board, so we ended up with two. A big one that stays in its spot and comes out for meals, and a small one that doesn’t take up much space and stays in the cutting area for quick snacks throughout the day.
I read that even hand towels need to be replaced every 3 uses, so maybe let it stay where they put until you replace it. Or have one that hangs and one that sits by the sink.
The bathroom hand towel is never hung up . It is aways thrown beside the sink . No one knows how to hang it up except me . How to solve this , I don’t know & I am tired of doing this simple act .
My fiancee goes through 6 bath towels a day and ive complained about washing and folding them (We run the laundry 3x daily)
He told me he doesnt need them folded, and i want to differentiate them from the dirty ones.
Now we have a clean laundry basket where all his clean towels go
I simply throw the towels in the basket and leave it in his room! Problem solved, everyones happy.
Perhaps you can explain the cost of running the dryer to him?? It’s one of the most expensive appliances in the house
I just did this today its too tidy that I am happy lol love it
After living in an apartment with no dishwasher. I can say the dish washer in our house saved us lol
My mom just told me to do this today!

There’s really cute wooden ones that can be left on the counter after being used

I’ve been thinking about leaving a cute one out as a designated cutting space.
A double roll toilet paper holder with a shelf on top is perfect! Amazon
